Surfing Landes means surfing Hossegor and many other high performance surfing spots. Part of the WSL World Tour and home of some of Europe’s best Barrels. This ‘Département’ in the South-West of France attracts some serious swells around the year. The waves break close to shore so these are heavy conditions, only to be surfed by the best. But it also means that you get first row seats right on the beach. A truly magnificent experience which sometimes even resembles the mother of all waves Pipeline in Hawaii. We start with probably the best of them all. Full screen HD action of one of the swells of the year to come to the region. Leonardo Fioravanti even states that he has never seen it as good during the 18 years he lived there.

The second clip is shot at La Graviere in Hossegor. Names like Joan Duru, Tristan Guilbaud and Aritz Aranburu were all there to remember this day as EPIC.

The next one is with Miky Picon from 2014 from a gnarly looking swell. Surely he won’t make that last barrel…

And what to think about this one. A drone, a jet ski, insane barrels…is this really France?!

The Roy van Eijk Special

And as a small cherry on top we got our hands on a small edit from Protest Team Rider Roy van Eijk. This video is special because Roy’s from the Netherlands. Unlike fellow team members like Oli Adams, Tristan Guilbaud and Gaspard Larsonneur, Roy hasn’t got epic waves in his backyard but he surfs them nevertheless. It might not be of the some level (yet) as the other videos but you can see his potential. And above all he has an ambition. A very very VERY serious ambition. So you might want to follow his path on I Love Surfing
