How to wax a surfboard in 20 seconds
If it were only that simple. For the base coat I create diagonal lines. Most often, I try to keep these at a 45 degrees angle, but this time I tried something bit more straight. After I’ve done the whole board up and down, still using the base coat, I go over the lines in circular motions. When the base coat is spread out equally (usually after about half a block), I apply the top coat. This depends on the water temperature. The colder the water is, the softer wax you need and vice versa. After your first couple of sessions, you might find you need to top up you top coat, but not by much.
